Sometimes you have dreams all your life, sometimes you marry someone with the same dream…sometimes you get to live your dream.

After years of grief, heartbreak and devastation I am starting to believe in the dream again-it’s a little scary, and extremely exciting.

For years I have said, “I barely have the energy to get through the day let alone dare to dream anymore.”

Now, I am starting to remember.

The dream was birthed in me when I was a little girl, and when I met my husband 16 years ago I was captivated by his thoughts, his words and the way he articulated every thought I had.

We were married for all of 30 seconds when we started to look for facilities that would become the base that would house a movement.

We looked in the mountains of Colorado and downtown in an old Victorian home, the inner -city of Kansas City, and the hills of Swaziland, Africa.  We never stopped looking; we never stopped talking about it.  Until 2 ½ years ago.  We’ve barely spoken of it since the day Michael Ryan left this earth and left us shattered.

Spain is a launching pad for the next step.  Yes, we are taking classes, studying, reading, writing, sitting and praying…but more importantly we are surrounded by life, and the dream is coming back into view.

The goal has always been the same- to lead a movement that will change a generation; provide a place for the brilliant and broken souls, to show the freedom of Christ-to disciple and advance the Kingdom.

However we saw it all working in the past…now I understand why before now, it was never the right time.

Love, forgiveness, and humility have to be the foundation….and we have to model it.

Are we there?  Not yet, but we are moving quickly in that direction.

We are learning…we don’t have all the answers, but here is what we know-We have to demonstrate what the Church really is…what God really is…who Jesus IS…

We have to start with Love, we have to live it, it has to flow from us around the Kitchen Table…and the rest will follow.

We are once again immersed in the thoughts and dreams of a generation that, despite the abuse, trauma and pain of their past, they too are daring to dream.

Their energy and hope have captivated my heart again.  I can see the future…its going to be amazing!
